FIELD: control and measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: pyrotechnic device for testing impact accelerometers comprises a metal rod with given elastic properties, which is installed on a support bed, on one end of the rod there are sockets for installation of reference and tested accelerometers, and a shock-wave load generator in the rod, installed on the side of the second – free – end of the rod. Shock-wave load generator used is an initiating waveguide installed in the charging chamber with an open outlet in the direction of the horizontal axis of symmetry of the free end of the rod, which is attached to the support bed on a quick-detachable stand. Fixation of the rod in the support is made with possibility of linear movement.

EFFECT: possibility of testing accelerometers without dismantling them from objects at test sites, higher safety of the measurement process, reduced dimensions and weight of the device.
