FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vertical urban farms for growing plants using hydroponic or aeroponic technology. Vertical urban farm for growing plants contains a sealed chamber for growing plants, system of movable vertically oriented racks installed in the chamber. Each rack is made with horizontal tiers. On each tier there is at least one tray for growing plants, which is placed in the longitudinal direction of the tier. Each tier is equipped with means for supply and removal of aqueous nutrient solution to trays and water-cooled LED lamps, made with possibility of establishing optimum color modes. Vertical farm comprises a system for circulation of an aqueous nutrient solution, a system for preparing an aqueous nutrient solution, a climatic installation, a ventilation system and a control system. Ventilation system comprises an air intake device connected to horizontally oriented distribution textile air ducts. Air ducts are arranged parallel to trays and are equipped with at least one group of perforated holes, arranged with the possibility of supplying said air medium in the direction of the lower side of leaves and stems of plants.

EFFECT: invention enables to efficiently use small areas for growing plants in conditions which are comfortable for plants with improved gas exchange and photosynthesis.
