FIELD: testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of simulating weightlessness during ground tests of space equipment. Method is realized by using a kinematically complete or kinematically redundant manipulator capable of measuring a force vector and a moment vector acting on its end link, for example, by mounting a force and moment sensor on the end link, and mounted on a movable or fixed base. Method involves creation by the manipulator of such a movement which would be realized for the tested assembly under the action of all forces and moments acting on it in space flight conditions, taking into account the absence of the assembly weight and the moment associated with it. Some forces and moments may arise during tests directly as a result of operation of the tested assembly, and some may be simulated by a manipulator taking into account the peculiarities of space flight.
EFFECT: possibility of simulating additional mass during testing of systems and devices for space purposes and taking into account effects from it on the system under test.
