FIELD: heating.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fluid medium heaters, including water heaters, consisting of a housing and three main assemblies—a burner assembly, a heat exchange assembly and a chimney, wherein the burner assembly is a means of generating heat and can operate on hydrocarbon fuel. To increase the flue gas heat utilization coefficient for the heat carrier heating in the heat generator housing in the zone corresponding to the heat exchange unit arrangement, rotary dampers made in the form of a segment are installed perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the heat generator, covering by 25–50% the area of the cross section of the heat generator housing. At that, edges of rotary dampers are displaced relative to each other by angle of 60°–90°, so that swirling of flue gases is carried out clockwise, which would allow not only vortex movement of flue gases during their movement through the stack, but also increase the coefficient of use of their heat due to flow turbulence. Making the chimney in the form of two sections telescopically connected to each other, when extending one section of the chimney from the other section, increase the height of the chimney of the heat generator and reduce the value of environmental damage caused to the environment by increasing the height of the stack. And protection of chimney from high-temperature flue gases can be provided by installation inside chimney of heat-resistant material, from which rotary dampers are made. At the same time vortex movement of flue gases behind the chimney edge will significantly increase the height of flue gases rise, which will also reduce concentration of harmful substances deposited from flue gases on the territory surrounding the heat generator. Heat generator can include a degasser installed at the outlet of the heat exchange unit, for removal of dissolved gases from heat carrier to reduce rate of corrosion processes in distributing pipelines.

EFFECT: increase in the heat carrier heating efficiency in the heat exchange unit made in the form of a multistart coil, formed by metal tapes fixed by one of their edges on the heat generator housing, and on the opposite edges the heat exchange unit casing is fixed, heat carrier current is provided via each coil channel mainly from top to bottom, which allows to reduce high-temperature effect of flue gases on the heat generator housing.
