FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: proposed is a gas distribution mechanism of an internal combustion engine, which includes unit 5, cylinder heads 1 and 2, gas discharge channels 3 and 4, consisting of cams 16 and 17, pushers 22 and 23, rockers 22 and 23, poppet valves 20 and 21. Cam 16 is made integral with flywheel 12, cam 17 is made integral with flywheel 11 and said flywheels are pivotally connected by connecting rods 26 and 27 with axis 9 of slider 8. During rotation of flywheels 11 and 12, cams 16 and 17 made together with them act on poppet valves 20 and 21 of the internal combustion engine by means of a kinematic chain: cam – pusher – rocker arm – valve end.
EFFECT: proposed design comprises minimum number of parts, is easy to manufacture and reliable in operation.
