FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to small arms, namely, to loose cartridge belts. Method of making a loose cartridge belt of automatic weapons is characterized by that the cartridge belt is made consisting of serially arranged plastic links of the same shape, which are pivotally connected to each other through a fork-shaped jumper of coaxially located opposite each other extreme cartridge grips of tubular shape. Diameter of one extreme cartridge grip exceeds diameter of the other and middle cartridge grip of tubular shape, located between coaxially located opposite each other extreme cartridge grips of tubular shape of adjacent link, forming connection by placing cartridge in formed channel. At that, in each link the cartridge grip of tubular shape (hereinafter referred to as small grip), having a smaller diameter, is made with a broadening in the form of a truncated cone, which by its base faces the adjacent larger-diameter tubular grip (hereinafter referred to as the large grip). Large grip and medium cartridge grip of tubular shape in their adjacent end zone are made corresponding to outer diameter at base of broadening; note here that said small grip inside its tubular part extending along cartridge upper mouth comprises longitudinal ribs with rounded cross-section.

EFFECT: reliable retention of the cartridge while maintaining more reliable spillage of the tape into fragments.
