FIELD: antenna equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna engineering and is intended for use in reflector antennae of ground-based satellite communication stations mounted on mobile objects when it is necessary to continuously aim the antenna system on a spacecraft. Irradiator of the tracking reflector antenna includes an irradiating part and devices intended for polarization tracking of the spacecraft and switching the type of polarization between circular and linear. Device comprises two belt drives, each of which includes a stepper motor, drive and driven gears. Driven gear of the first belt transmission is fixed on the first rotating waveguide section installed on bearings inside the fastening section fixed on the mirror reflector. Driven gear of the second belt transmission is installed on the second rotating waveguide section installed on bearings inside the first rotating waveguide section. On the second rotating waveguide section the section of double coaxial-waveguide junction with microwave connectors is fixed, and inside the first rotating waveguide section there is a plate dielectric polariser.

EFFECT: simplification of the mechanical part of the structure due to which the possibility of switching between linear and circular polarisations of the device is provided and the possibility of tracking the polarization of the spacecraft.
