FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Neural processing unit comprises a communication unit for exchanging data with a central processing unit via a bidirectional bus, a control device for matching input and output data, buffer register for storage of argument values, read-only memory for storage of processor training coefficients, n-series connected multipliers for arguments, output adder of values for aggregating the received information at the input, an output data register for recording the value of the calculated function, the output of which is the output of the processor, as well as registers for controlling operands, wherein its composition further includes a vector processor unit for fast data exchange with permanent non-volatile memory, which includes an operating device, saturation function nodes, a register of a matrix for storing weight coefficients, a register for swapping a new matrix of weights from a buffer, a cyclic shifter.
EFFECT: faster operation of a computer system.
