FIELD: heating.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heating of liquid and gaseous media and concerns, first of all, natural gas heating devices in gas distribution stations (GDS). Method of controlling operating modes of a gas heating unit (GHU) of increased capacity, equipped with a pulsating combustion heat generator (PCHG) with an additional resonance circuit and placed in a common heat carrier reservoir with a heat exchanger, at that, the PCHG valve-mixing device with the fuel gas supply unit to the combustion chamber as a part of the three electromagnetic valves is arranged in the housing adjacent to the common reservoir of the liquid heat carrier, implemented by performing the operation of switching the supply of fuel gas to the combustion chamber according to signals from the controller to the unit for supplying fuel gas to the combustion chamber depending on the values of the maximum and minimum temperatures of the heated gas and maximum temperature of liquid heat carrier in reservoir, providing a mode of constant pulsating combustion. When the GHU is operating at maximum power, the PCHG constantly pulsed and "start-stop" operating modes are alternately switched on until the GHU preset resource is exhausted by the number of PCHG start-up units, after which the PCHG is switched to the constantly pulsating combustion mode.

EFFECT: prolonging the total operating time of the GHU without vibration loads from pulsating combustion and ensuring the reliability of the GHU operation within the specified resource.
