FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for determining longitudinal stresses in rail strings for assessing change in stability of a continuous welded track after straightening and tamping a rail and sleeper grid. In the method, the actual temperature of the rail fixation, calculated by the rail temperature and the value of the longitudinal stresses acting in the rail string, determined by the Barkhausen method, stability of a continuous welded track is assessed based on the change in the actual temperature of the rail fastening calculated before and after the straightening-tamping works, calculation of actual temperature of rail fixation is carried out with an interval of not more than 12 hours after straightening-tamping works.
EFFECT: improving reliability of estimation of stability of continuous welded railway, based on changes of actual temperature of rail fixation, after carrying out of straightening-tamping works.
