FIELD: traffic control systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of railway automatics and telemechanics for controlling the temperature stress-strain state of rail lashes. In the method, track sensors are placed on the sole of the rail from the outside, containing at least one fiber-optic sensing element based on a fiber-optic diffraction Bragg grating for measuring longitudinal deformation of a rail and at least one fiber optic sensor based on a fiber optic diffraction Bragg grating for measuring the rail temperature. In this case, the sensors are installed in pairs and fixed on the bottom of the left and right rail in the gap between the sleepers. Sensing elements are connected by means of a fiber optic cable with an optical signal converter and a data processing unit.
EFFECT: improvement of the railway traffic safety is achieved.
