SUBSTANCE: invention relates to satellite broadcasting for organizing and creating dedicated "virtual" television channels. Disclosed is a system and a method for controlling a service for providing virtual channels, where CAS subsystem comprises transmitting and receiving parts. Transmitting part includes an SMS subscription management system connected to a billing system which collects and stores actual information on access rights to end user subscriptions; means for generating control words with their session keys encryption; SCR synchronizer of processes of generation of control words, as well as messages ECM and EMM containing them, for each linear and virtual channel of service or their group, with setting of rights of access to broadcast of specified in schedule event of linear channel as part of virtual channel and its suspension at the end of event. Receiving part CAS crypto module is at least equipped with linear and virtual channels descrambling library in accordance with conditional access system subscriptions, to enable descrambling of the incoming encrypted transport stream and its transmission to the input of the main processor (CPU).
EFFECT: broader operational capabilities of the broadcasting system due to broader capabilities of broadcasting content without increasing the amount of memory of the client part, transponder capacity and with simultaneous increase in the level of content protection.
