FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to satellite broadcasting for creation of dedicated "virtual" television channels (VC). Disclosed is a system and a method for encrypting content of a VC service and descrambling, where the electronic program guide (EPG) server is equipped with means of generating VC metadata and a VC schedule in the form of a selection of content events of linear broadcast channels (LC), selected according to preset criteria for each VC criteria and broadcasted within the VC service sequentially in time, with setting for each event the corresponding VC identifier and the event usage mark in its composition, and the conditional access subsystem (CAS) is equipped with transmitting and receiving parts, where the transmitting part includes an SMS subscription management system with a billing system, means of generating CW control words with encryption with session keys, means of generating ECM and EMM messages for each LC and VC service with installation of access rights, wherein the same content event, broadcast by different channels, is performed by an encrypted common control word, encrypted by different session keys for each LC and VC or their group, and receiving part is equipped with EMM and ECM message processing means for setting access rights to each content event, obtaining and decrypting descrambling keys based on the CW of each content event included in each VC service, respectively, as well as descrambling means based on the CW.

EFFECT: high reliability of forming a transport stream of a VC providing service, which provides broader capabilities of broadcasting content without increasing the transponder capacity and volume of memory of the transmitting side while maintaining or improving the level of content protection.
