FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of construction, namely to a timber-metal beam used as a bearing structure of coatings and floors of various buildings. Wood-metal beam includes a wooden frame consisting of upper and lower belts and stiffness ribs located between them, attached to it side walls from steel corrugated thin sheets, corrugations of which are located along the longitudinal axis of the beam, self-tapping screws, which through the corrugations of the side walls, the flanges of which adjoin the stiffness ribs and the upper and lower belts, are screwed into T-shaped metal profiles glued into side faces of upper and lower belts and stiffness ribs along their longitudinal axes. In upper and lower belts and stiffness ribs there are longitudinal grooves and recesses, wherein side faces of T-shaped metal profiles are located in one vertical plane with side faces of top and bottom belts and stiffness ribs and are located along whole length of wood-metal beam or only in its most stressed zones.
EFFECT: increased bearing capacity and stiffness of the beam.
