FIELD: construction engineering; multipurpose bearing beams and posts of buildings and structures. SUBSTANCE: metal core of beam-post is formed of steel sheet bent to follow configuration of I-section whose flanges are made in the form of parallel bent parts of sheet which are external and internal relative to wall. Ends of sheet are bent onto main wall of I-section beam and form additional parts of its wall in vicinity of hollow dowels passed through it. Main wall of I-section beam is symmetrical relative to its vertical axis and provided with closed ridges inclined to longitudinal axis of beam. Inner spaces between wood case and metal core and in core are filled with material hardened after injecting. Additional wall of flange beam may be joined to its main wall by plug lap joints. Pair of steel plates projecting beyond wood case may be welded to ends of metal core wall on both sides; forged steel member provided with two vertically arranged transversal through holes is welded to loose ends of plates.
