MATERIAL FOR CLARIFICATION AND HOMOGENISATION OF GLASS MASS DURING MELTING OF SILICATE GLASS Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC C03C1/02

Abstract RU 2825628 C1

FIELD: glass; environmental protection.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to produce mainly silicate enamels, high-temperature silicate glass and can be used at the stage of glass formation in the zone of melting and purification after neutralization of acid mine waters of sulphate class of the Kizelovsky coal basin. Material for clarification and homogenisation of glass mass during melting of silicate glass is a mixture of salts. Mixture of salts contains ammonium sulphate and lithium carbonate, is formed after treatment of acid mine water of sulphate class containing metal ions and sulphate, ammonium-containing reagent – NH4OH, added in amount of 1.5-2% of total amount of water, until complete coprecipitation of heavy metals, removal of sediment from water, treatment of water with CO2 with formation of sediment in form of mixture (NH4)2SO4 and Li2CO3 and drying the sediment.

EFFECT: obtaining material for year-round use in melting high-viscosity, high-temperature silicate glass with high efficiency of clarification and homogenisation of glass mass, broader functional capabilities of the product of treating acid mine waters containing lithium.
