SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sanitation and hygiene and can be used for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces. Disinfectant for surface treatment contains alkylbenzyl dimethylammonium chloride, isopropyl alcohol, glycerine, guanidine methacrylate, essential oil or a mixture of essential oils based on natural vegetal components in the following ratio, wt.%: alkylbenzyldimethylammonium chloride 0.4–0.5; guanidine methacrylate 0.1–0.2; glycerol 4–5; isopropyl alcohol 85–90; essential oils or mixtures of essential oils based on natural vegetal components 10–4.4.

EFFECT: disinfectant has antimicrobial and antiviral activity, retains disinfecting properties during long-term storage, and preserves antimicrobial properties on the treated surface for a long period of time.
