FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, in particular to conversion equipment, and can be used for voltage regulation in electric networks, and for limitation of short-circuit currents in electric networks. AC voltage regulator comprises: main transformer; booster transformer; two optotriacs acting as switches; phase-sensitive unit, made using two measuring transformers, two null elements, AND logic element; comparator unit, made using a null element, a logic element OR, a logic element AND; two pulse generators; two delay elements; measuring voltage transformer; auxiliary null organ; auxiliary logic element AND; logical element NOT; three logical elements AND; auxiliary logical element OR; protection unit made using L-circuit, which serves as a single-turn winding of the magnetic conductor with an air gap, a magnetodiode, a variable resistor, a comparator, a voltage divider, a JK trigger, a differentiating circuit, a constant voltage source.
EFFECT: expansion of functional capabilities with simultaneous increase of reliability.
