FIELD: data processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for cryptographic data integrity control based on fractal construction rules. In the method, detection and localization of data with signs of violation of integrity of data unit M, which is fragmented into target units located on lateral edges of triangle, are provided by calculating a group of hash codes according to the rules for constructing a Pascal triangle and their comparison with reference ones, wherein the data unit M, presented in the form of a vector, for the purpose of monitoring the integrity of the target data contained therein is fragmented into data units M1, M2, …, M(φ) with fixed length, each of which, in turn, is also fragmented into data units M(φ)i,j, where φ=1, 2, …, φ; i=1, 2,…, n; j=1, 2, to which a hash function h is applied to control integrity, wherein the order of calculating hash codes and intermediate conversion results is based on the rules for constructing a Pascal triangle, obtained values are placed in a table having a triangular shape, along the sides of the obtained triangle, data units M(φ)i,j to be protected are sequentially placed, intermediate results of conversions are placed inside the triangle G(φ)i,j, where i,j=1, 2,…, n-1, calculated from data units M(φ)i,j to be protected, where i=1, 2,…, n-1; j=1 2, on lower side of triangle there are units with values of hash codes H(φ)i,j of hash function h, where i=n; j=1, 2,…, n+2, which are calculated from data units M(φ)i,j to be protected, where i=n; j=1, 2, and results of intermediate conversions of the lower level G(φ)n-1,1, G(φ)n-1,2, …, G(φ)n-1,n-1, used for detection and localization of data with integrity violation signs.

EFFECT: reducing the amount of input redundancy of control data while increasing the amount of target data to be protected.
