FIELD: rocket science.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rocketry, specifically to creation of accelerating units based on solid-propellant controlled propulsion systems. Proposed solid-propellant controlled propulsion system comprises cylindrical housing accommodating end-firing solid propellant charge, gas duct communicated with said housing and inlet part of which igniters are arranged uniformly in circumferential direction. In the outlet part of the gas duct there are four nozzle units, which are uniformly located along the circumference, a central body and an insert installed coaxially and forming an annular nozzle of external expansion. Annular groove is made on the inner surface of the outlet part of the gas duct, in which a transverse rib fixed on the outer surface of the insert moves. Walls of the annular groove, the external surface of the insert and the transverse rib form a cavity into which a liquid is supplied, the pressure of which prevents the movement of the insert.
EFFECT: disclosed is a solid-propellant controlled propulsion system.
