SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and power engineering and is intended to protect a four-core power cable of a salt-producing floating platform against single-phase short-circuiting. Power cable protection device additionally includes a voltage sensor, made in the form of a metal ring on the power cable, a voltage relay, the first winding output of which is connected to the neutral of the power supply of the salt-producing floating platform, and a control cable connecting the second output of the winding of the voltage relay to the voltage sensor, wherein the normally open contacts of the voltage relay are connected to the electrical circuit from the power supply and the coil of the shunt trip of the circuit breaker.
EFFECT: expansion of functional capabilities of device for protection of power cable of salt-producing floating platform against single-phase short-circuit.
