FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of oxidative purification of oil and can be used in gas and oil industry. Invention relates to a method of purifying oil from hydrogen sulphide and light mercaptans, involving oxidation of hydrogen sulphide and light mercaptans with atmospheric oxygen in the presence of an aqueous ammonia solution of a phthalocyanine catalyst at temperature of 50-60 °C and pressure 0.7±0.1 MPa with subsequent separation of waste air by pressure reduction. Preheated to 50-60 °C oil and 20-30% aqueous ammonia solution with dissolved in it phthalocyanine catalyst in amount of 0.05-5 wt.% are mixed in a mixer with subsequent supply to cascade of mixers, and the catalyst composition is dosed in amount of 0.18-0.9 kg/t of oil.

EFFECT: refusal of hydrocarbon gas stripping, increased efficiency of purification in one stage from high content of hydrogen sulphide and mercaptans, reduction of specific consumption of catalyst composition and air, use of waste air with entrained hydrocarbons for heat generation.
