FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly, to drone launchers. Catapult for drone launching comprises guide and acceleration bogie connected by power cable via pulleys and end cover of working chamber with piston of pneumatic acceleration cylinder. Working chamber is connected through an inlet valve to a compressed air cylinder. Accelerating bogie is locked by release mechanism with adjustable preload spring. In the end cover of the working chamber there is a partially perforated nozzle, inside which a power cable is located with a gap. Inlet part of the nozzle is equipped with a bell. Outlet of the accelerating cylinder is made in the form of a through hole, the diameter of which is not less than the diameter of the piston.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of the catapult by eliminating shock loads from braking and creating conditions for smooth acceleration of the aircraft without jerks.
