FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to butadiene-styrene block-copolymer compositions for polymer-bitumen mixtures. Disclosed is a method of producing a butadiene-styrene block copolymer composition by polymerising styrene and 1,3-butadiene in a hydrocarbon solvent selected from aliphatic, aromatic solvents or mixtures thereof, using an organolithium initiator, an electron donor additive, a functionalising agent and a double-beam cross-linking agent, involving the following steps: 1) polymerisation of styrene in an organic solvent using an initiator and an electron donor additive to obtain an active polystyrene block A; 2) adding to the active polystyrene block A obtained at step (1), 1,3-butadiene and styrene to obtain a diblock copolymer A-(A/B) with a random distribution of styrene links in the A/B block; 3) adding to the block copolymer obtained at step (2) a functionalising agent and a double-arm cross-linking agent to obtain a functionalised diblock copolymer A-(A/B)-Fn and a cross-linked triblock copolymer (A-A/B)2X, where Fn is a functional group, X is a residue of a double-beam cross-linking agent; 4) extraction, degassing and drying of the obtained block copolymer composition; polymer-bitumen mixture for roofing containing a butadiene-styrene block-copolymer composition obtained by disclosed method, and the use of the disclosed polymer-bitumen mixture for the manufacture of roofing materials.
EFFECT: improving adhesion properties of the polymer-bitumen mixture and achieving good processability of the polymer-bitumen compositions while maintaining a balance between adhesion and cohesion properties.
