FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to therapeutic dentistry, and can be used in treating cheilitis and chronic lip fissures in patients with orthodontic pathology. Proposed wound healing gel includes Fitodent Periogel dental gel, "Polysorb MP" enterosorbent, benzocaine, xanthan gum, aluminum chloride hexahydrate, trypsin and baking soda, with the following ratio of components, wt.%: Fitodent Periogel gel—60, "Polysorb MP" enterosorbent—15, benzocaine—5, xanthan gum—5, aluminum chloride hexahydrate—5, trypsin—5, baking soda—5.
EFFECT: proposed gel can be used by patients with orthodontic pathology independently at home, forms a strong transparent film insoluble in saliva, has pronounced analgesic, anti-inflammatory, wound healing action with antibacterial, haemostatic and sorption effect; use of the gel has shown its high efficacy in treating cheilitis and chronic lip fissures in patients with orthodontic pathology compared to prototype gel Fitodent Periogel.
