SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and apparatus for producing carbamide from ammonia and carbon dioxide and can be used in chemical industry and in production of fertilizers. Disclosed is a method of producing carbamide, comprising a) feeding ammonia and a first portion of carbon dioxide into a reactor to form a first reaction mixture and a gas phase; b) feeding a first reaction mixture from step a) and a second portion of carbon dioxide into a stripper to obtain a liquid phase and a gas phase; c) feeding a gas phase from step a) and a gas phase from step b) into a condenser to obtain a gas-liquid mixture; d) feeding the gas-liquid mixture from step c) and the carbamate solution into the pre-reactor to obtain a second reaction mixture and a gas phase; e) ejection of the second reaction mixture from step d) with ammonia fed to step a). Also disclosed is a plant for producing carbamide.

EFFECT: high efficiency of the process of producing carbamide by increasing the degree of conversion of carbon dioxide, ensuring the heat balance of the synthesis reactor, simple and convenient arrangement of high-pressure equipment.
