SUBSTANCE: invention relates to petrochemistry, particularly to compositions of additives for hydrocarbon fuels, especially motor gasolines. Additive for reducing loss of gasoline from evaporation during storage and use contains the following components, wt.%: polyethylene glycol with mol. weighing 200: 3.5; tetramethylammonium chloride: 0.1; sodium stearate: 3.5; 1-octanol: up to 100. Also disclosed is gasoline containing said additive in amount of 0.05–0.1 wt.%.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides reduction of fuel losses from evaporation during storage and use, as well as reduction of pressure of saturated gasoline vapours.
