FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to liquid hydrocarbon fuel, particularly to motor fuel which contains an additive for reducing loss due to evaporation during storage and can be used on oil and fuel depots. The additive contains the following: a base - fractionated 50% solution of benzyldimethyl ammonium chloride (C₁₂-C₁₆), dibutyl ether of phthalic acid, liquid polymethylsiloxane PMS-1000, butanol-1. The additive is added to the fuel (after pouring it into a reservoir) in amount of 0.01 % of the mass of fuel poured into the reservoir.

EFFECT: use of the invention considerably decreases loss of motor fuel due to evaporation during storage in reservoirs on oil and fuel depots.
