FIELD: oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used to identify potentially productive intervals of oil source deposits for their subsequent development. According to the method of identifying potentially productive intervals in oil source deposits, first, core survey data and geophysical survey data in wells are collected. Obtained data are then used to construct a complex of petrophysical relationships for calculating pyrolytic parameters after extraction. Thereafter, a mineral-component model of the rocks is constructed. Further, based on said model, criteria for identifying oil source deposits and potentially productive intervals of oil source deposits in the form of boundary values are determined. Thereafter, a system of petrophysical equations and coefficients for petrophysical equations are determined. After that mineral-component model in the well is restored, content of organic carbon and total porosity are determined. As a result, oil source intervals of deposits are identified by limit value of organic carbon content, potentially productive intervals in oil source deposits are identified by boundary value of total porosity.
EFFECT: high accuracy and reliability of identifying potentially productive intervals, including in Domanik deposits.
