SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weapons, in particular to safety mechanism to prevent accidental firing of weapons. Safety mechanism contains a hammer, a trigger, a sear with a full cock, an interceptor with a full cock, which is installed with the possibility of interaction with a full cock of the hammer. Interceptor is made in the form of a double-arm lever with a full cock made on the first arm of the interceptor and placed behind the full cock of the sear in close proximity to it. Interceptor second arm rests on trigger.
EFFECT: simplification of the design of the safety mechanism, improvement of operational characteristics.
