FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of safe coding of articles, for their identification, authentication, tracking and control, namely to serialization of articles. For this purpose, the unique serial number of each article is encrypted using an encryption key k to obtain a corresponding unique code and each article is marked with a corresponding unique code. Each unique code has a length L and is included in a character string with a length of L', which marks the corresponding product, wherein L' is greater than L, and the character string further includes at least part of the unique code obtained from encrypting the previous unique serial number and/or at least part of the unique code obtained from encrypting the next unique serial number. In addition, in the character string, the unique code corresponding to the article is concatenated in front with the end of the unique code obtained from the encryption of the previous unique serial number, and/or concatenated after with beginning of unique code obtained from encryption of next unique serial number.
EFFECT: enabling use of linear coding resistant to desynchronization and application of proper serialization in situations when registration of codes is difficult or impossible.
