FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary medicine, namely veterinary toxicology. Method of treating anticoagulant poisoning in small domestic animals involves determining the volume of fluid for infusion into animal at 30 ml per kg of live weight. Then the calculated volume of liquid is divided into three equal volumes and solutions are prepared in these volumes using 3 bottles, which are introduced successively intravenously, drop-by-drop through a venous catheter with a port at rate of 60 drops per minute: 1st bottle: Tranexamic acid solution at rate of 5 mg per kg of animal live weight and 0.9% sodium chloride solution to the required volume; 2nd bottle: solutions of Etamsylate at rate of 15 mg per kg of live weight of animal and 1 ml of 10% calcium chloride and Ringer's solution to the required volume; 3rd bottle: 1 ml of vitamins B-1 and B-6, 2 ml of 5% ascorbic acid, 5 ml of 2% Riboxin and rest 5% glucose to the required volume. After the solution is introduced from 2nd bottle, a hepatoprotector solution is introduced into the catheter port, which is the preparation Essentiale in dose of 0.2-0.5 ml per kg of live weight of the animal. Frequency of the infusion therapy is determined individually by the time of blood coagulation, if after a single infusion therapy the coagulation time corresponds to the norm, the infusion therapy is not repeated, and the animal is given Tranexamic acid in tablets in dose of 2.5 mg per kg of the animal's live weight for 3-4 days, if after a single infusion therapy coagulation time is more than normal, the infusion therapy is repeated for 24 hours, and then Tranexamic acid is administered in tablets in dose of 5 mg per kg of animal live weight for 3-4 days.
EFFECT: invention provides more effective treatment of anticoagulant poisoning in small animals.
