SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optics, namely to optical systems for brightness amplification. Brightness amplifier has a narrowing quartz cone installed in an internal mirror, which is a body of revolution based on a truncated off-axis parabola, geometrically calculated so that the extreme maximum beams converge in the focus, a high-aperture radiation source placed at the end of the quartz cone. Conical surface of the quartz cone is coated with a transmissive interference coating, and the output hole of the device is located in the focal plane of the parabola, in the central zone of which the energy brightness is greater than that of the radiation source at the input.

EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of light flux converters.
