FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to the starter battery, which is intended for assembly of automobile and caterpillar equipment operated in conditions of low temperatures. Storage battery is made on the basis of electrochemical capacitors of the system: nickel oxide – potassium hydroxide – carbon, wherein the battery contains forty electrochemical capacitors assembled into two independent modules of twenty capacitors each, the battery housing and cover are made of corrosion-resistant steel with an organosilicate composition applied to the inner surface, fastening the battery cover to the battery housing is made in the form of screw connections through the holes in the side walls of the housing and the cover, the pole terminals are made in the form of two terminals, two terminals from each module, base of terminals is made of textolite and fixed on the battery housing by means of rivets, pole terminals are bolted connections.
EFFECT: increase in the number of charge-discharge cycles of the starter battery at temperatures below 30 °C.
