FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to conservative methods of treating strangulated inguinal-scrotal hernias in boys. Single dose of an analgesic, antispasmodic and sedative is administered. Heating pad is placed on scrotum for 10 minutes. After wrapping the proximal two-thirds of the hernial sac with a gauze tissue in three layers so that it takes the shape of a funnel along this length, with a minimum diameter at the entrance to the hernia orifice equal to the diameter of the external ring of the inguinal canal, funnel shape is fixed round with five fingers of one hand, and all fingers of the other hand clasp the remaining free part of the hernial sac. It is followed by slight squeezing towards the abdominal cavity until the hernial contents are completely reduced.
EFFECT: method provides improved results of the conservative method of treating strangulated inguinal-scrotal hernias in boys.
