SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer materials. Disclosed is a biodegradable thermoplastic polymer composite with antibacterial properties, consisting of 20–40 wt.% of a matrix thermoplastic polymer with a melting point of less than 180 °C and 60–80 wt.% of starch masterbatch, which includes a compatibility agent, which is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate with a melting point of less than 100 °C, thermoplastic starch and an antimicrobial additive representing copper (II) oxide.
EFFECT: invention provides a thermoplastic polymer composite with a high degree of biodegradation and a high antimicrobial index.
