FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a dehydrogenation catalyst. Invention relates to a complex oxide catalyst based on iron-potassium-cerium, production and use thereof. Catalyst contains Fe, K and Ce, a metal element M, at least one selected from group IIA, VIB, other than Cr, and IVA, ferrite, has a total alkali content of 0.32–0.46 mmol/g, and strong alkali 0.061–0.082 mmol/g. Method of production includes mixing of sources of metals and ferrite with a pore-forming agent and a solvent, and moulding. Catalyst is used for dehydrogenation of alkylaromatic hydrocarbons, the dehydrogenation method involves contacting a hydrocarbon with catalyst at 580–620 °C, weight volume rate of hydrocarbon 0.5–1h−1, weight ratio of water to hydrocarbon 0.7–1 and pressure from −60 kPa to atmospheric.
EFFECT: high selectivity, catalytic activity, stability during dehydrogenation of alkylaromatic compounds, fewer by-products are formed, catalyst has low material consumption and low power consumption when used, even at low temperature of dehydrogenation and ultra-low ratio of water vapor to oil.
