SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas industry and can be used in routine maintenance and repair of pipeline valves. Method of fixing the impact wrench when unscrewing the nut placed on the pin consists in screwing on the pin of a retainer consisting of a screwing part and a clamping part, wherein the screwing part is made with thread and notches and contains a lock ring, and the clamping part is made with a chamfer and contains a spring, wherein the retainer is screwed on the stud by means of a threaded connection, the wrench is pre-installed on the nut, the clamping part by means of the spring presses the wrench to the nut flange for its fixation, and when limiting the wrench stroke on the nut, the wrench is rearranged into the free stroke position for unscrewing the nut, wherein the clamping part is lifted to compress the spring, then the wrench is rearranged and by means of a spring is pressed again by the clamping part for its fixation. Impact wrench retainer when unscrewing the nut placed on the stud consists of a screwed part and a clamping part, wherein the screwing part is made with thread and notches and contains a lock ring, and the clamping part is made with a chamfer and contains a spring.

EFFECT: improved working conditions during routine maintenance and repair of pipeline valves associated with loosening of nuts on flange connections of pipeline valves.
