FIELD: quantum information.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of organizing trusted nodes of a backbone quantum network. Proposed architecture of the backbone quantum network is characterized by the presence of traffic separation of the transport network, over which client data are transmitted, and control and monitoring network traffic, through which secure control and collection of monitoring data of quantum network node equipment, including from quantum key distribution devices is organized. There are two main types of units: a support unit and an intermediate support unit. Typical nodes include modules of quantum key distribution devices, modules of trusted nodes organization subsystem, transport network switches and control networks, local control servers, trunk and linear encoders, multiplexers/demultiplexers and client devices. Two channels are used to transmit data between typical network nodes: a quantum channel and a classical information channel.

EFFECT: high efficiency of transmitting classical information channels in a backbone quantum network.
