SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. method of preventing cheating, in which a first operating system is executed on a device, the first operating system being capable of allowing installation of device drivers without the requirement that the device drivers be signed by a specific key of a centralised source; the method includes monitoring the device and a restricted operating system executed on the device using a trusted component, wherein the restricted operating system is provided by modifying the first operating system executed on the device, wherein the restricted operating system is configured to require that device drivers be signed by a specific key of a centralised source in order to be installed; restricting access to resources based on the monitoring results.
EFFECT: preventing changes in hardware and/or software for cheating purposes.
