METHOD FOR SURGICAL MANAGEMENT OF PATIENTS WITH GASTROINTESTINAL STROMAL TUMOURS Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC A61B17/94 A61B1/273 A61B1/313 A61B17/68

Abstract RU 2832821 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncology, laparoscopic surgery, and can be used for treating patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GIST) of the stomach, localized near the cardioesophageal junction, on the lesser curvature and in the antrum, as well as GIST with a mixed and intraluminal type growth of more than 5 cm. Endoscopic marking of the tumour from the side of the gastric lumen is performed with gelofusin solution. Serous-muscular incision is performed laparoscopically from the side of the abdominal cavity. Serous-muscular incision is followed by laparoscopic dissection in submucosal layer after dissection of serous and muscular layer to vascular pedicle of tumour with intersection of mucous membrane with linear endostapler without capture of serous and muscular layer. Remaining defect of the gastric wall is closed with a continuous serous-muscular suture.

EFFECT: method increases the effectiveness of treatment, enables to remove a tumour in hard-to-reach localizations and a large size, reduces the volume of the removed stomach, which in turn reduces the risk of postoperative complications, provides immediate oncological results and does not deteriorate functional results due to laparoscopic serous-muscular submucosal dissection.
