FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to agriculture, in particular to means of protecting rice crops. Method of controlling undesirable vegetation near herbicide-resistant rice crops involves applying a) an effective amount of an acetyl-CoA-carboxylase (ACC) inhibiting herbicide selected from quizalofop or propaquizafop, or a herbicide which inhibits 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD) selected from mesotrione, tembotrione or isoxaflutol, or a herbicide which inhibits acetolactate synthase/acetohydroxy acid synthase (ALS/AGCS), selected from imazamox, and b) an effective amount of a herbicidal antidote selected from isoxadifen, cloquintocet, AD-67, benoxacor and fenchlorim, as well as esters and salts thereof, at the location of the undesirable vegetation.
EFFECT: use of said antidotes reduces the phytotoxic effect of said herbicides on herbicide-resistant rice crops and increases resistance of rice crops to said herbicides.
