SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft and aerospace engineering and can be used to change explosion-fire hazard of hydrocarbon fuel and its vapours in aircraft fuel tank. Device includes a fuel tank, a container with a substance for binding fuel and a fuel-air mixture, a substance supply system. Container is made sealed, from material chemically resistant to fuel and fuel-air mixture, is placed inside fuel tank, filled with saltpetre or fire-extinguishing powder, inert gas under pressure exceeding pressure of fuel and fuel-air mixture vapours in fuel tank, it is equipped with brackets for attachment to inner wall of fuel tank and membrane or safety valve for depressurization against preset overload.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of using civil and dual-use aircraft.
