FIELD: veterinary science.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science, namely physiology. Dairy cows are fed with cobalt sulphate in form of 0.3% solution in amount of 1 ml per 10 kg of animal body weight once a day; vitamin B12 is injected intramuscularly in dose of 1 ml twice day for 5 days every 5 days, mineral enterosorbent vermiculite of the Potanenskoye deposit is introduced into the diet in amount of 0.1 g/kg of body weight once day for 15 days every 15 days. Length of treatment is 60 days.

EFFECT: method provides normalization of iron metabolism, reduced level of nickel, increased content of cobalt, stimulation of protein and vitamin metabolic processes, normalization of cicatrical digestion indices, reduction of toxic loads on the liver, which in turn allows developing an effective method of treating hypocobaltosis and increasing milk productivity in dairy cows.
