FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment for finding location, value of single force action, in particular, by pieces of concrete chips from under front wheel during takeoff from runway, by fragments of shells and bullets in combat situations, hail on outer surface of indicator polymer coating. According to the method, an indicator coating in the form of a piezoelectric actuator is used as an electromechanical converter, which comprises piezoelectric plate with double helix of interacting strip electrodes built in through thickness or mounted on one (top or bottom) or both (opposite to each other on top and bottom) surfaces of piezoelectric plate. Non-uniform polarization of the plate is carried out by applying a polarizing voltage to the outputs of the electrodes. With the diagnosed force action on the surface of the indicator coating, electric current Iinf is measured and analysed at the outputs of the electrodes in the form of a sequence of informative pulses, caused by the appearance of electric charges on the arcs of "activation" of the spirals of the electrodes in the circular zone of disturbance of the indicator coating in the vicinity of the epicentre of the force action due to the direct piezoelectric effect of the piezoelectric plate. Location of the epicentre and the value of the force action are found from the measured number, time intervals and peak values of the sequence of informative pulses of electric current Iinf.

EFFECT: high sensitivity and accuracy of locating force action with an indicator coating.
