FIELD: optical instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical instrument making, specifically to projection lenses intended for transferring an image from a microdisplay screen to a front focal plane of an eyepiece. Projection lens comprises six components, each of which consists of single lenses. First and second components are made in the form of menisci whose convex surface faces the image space, wherein the first component is negative and the second is positive. Third component is in form of a negative meniscus whose concave surface faces the image space. Fourth and sixth components are made in the form of a positive biconvex lens facing the image space with a flatter radius. Fifth component is in form of a negative meniscus whose concave surface faces the image space. Menisci of the first, third and fifth components are made from glass of the same brand.
EFFECT: high transmission coefficient of the optical system.
