FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transportation of natural gas and can be used in repair of long sections of a gas pipeline while maintaining uninterrupted gas supply to a consumer. In the proposed repair method, an extended section of the gas pipeline is disconnected by closing the linear valves and gas is generated for consumers. Residual overpressure of gas from extended section taken for repair is bled through gas bleeders. From the extended section at distance of 5 m to 6 m from the point of its connection with the gas pipeline-branch along the gas flow, a section with size of 4 m to 5 m is cut. On the formed ends of the long section of the gas pipeline divided into two sections, plugs are mounted. Then, a temporary gas pipeline with a shut-off valve is mounted and connected to the operating gas pipeline through the gas bleed riser. Gas is supplied to consumers from the second section along the gas flow through a temporary gas pipeline and works are performed to replace defective pipes on the first section along the gas flow. After defective pipes are replaced, gas is supplied from the first section along the gas flow through the branch pipe, the second section is shut off along the gas flow, it is released from natural gas, works are performed to replace defective pipes in the second section. After replacement of defective pipes is completed, the first section is shut off downstream of gas and is freed from natural gas. Then plugs and temporary gas pipeline are dismantled, gap between two sections of long section of gas pipeline is eliminated by overlapping method. For the period of shutdown, operation of the gas distribution station is provided with accumulated gas in the gas branch line. After repair works are completed, gas is supplied along the extended section of the gas pipeline.
EFFECT: improving safety and reliability of the method of repairing an extended section of a gas pipeline while maintaining uninterrupted gas supply to the consumer.
