FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly, to aircraft heavier than air. Preferred field of application of the proposed invention is supersonic passenger or military transport aircraft. Supersonic aircraft of normal configuration comprises fuselage, power plant, wing with high-lift system, tail vertical and horizontal empennage and undercarriage. At that, its range of flight positions of centre of mass is located behind from point of application of resultant increment of lift of aircraft without horizontal empennage, which occurs when wing high-lift system is released, and behind the most rear position of centre of pressure of aircraft without horizontal empennage, which is realized in flight at supersonic speed. At the same time it is statically stable in all flight modes, its stability and balancing are provided by means of selection of area and shape of horizontal empennage.
EFFECT: increased aerodynamic quality of aircraft in cruising configuration and increased lift in take-off and landing.
