FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry and specifically to a method of producing a stable aqueous dispersion of calcium stearate. Proposed method includes the following stages: mixture, containing water, from 3 to 13 pts. wt. oxyethylated fatty acid and from 3 to 13 pts. wt. oxyethylated fatty alcohol, is subjected to emulsification by intensive mixing at 1200-2000 rpm for 30-45 minutes to obtain an emulsion; and then calcium stearate, carbamide and polydimethylsiloxane with viscosity of 50 to 600 cSt are added to the obtained emulsion followed by dispersion by intensive mixing at 1200-2000 rpm for 3-4 hours to obtain an aqueous dispersion of calcium stearate.
EFFECT: invention provides longer stability of the aqueous dispersion of calcium stearate.
