FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for measuring volumetric flow rate, in particular to an ultrasonic flow meter of compressed air of a train brake line. Disclosed is an ultrasonic flowmeter of compressed air of a train brake line, comprising a housing in which two ultrasonic sensors are installed in the housing opposite each other at angle of 30° to the pipeline without changing the cross-section of the main line, as well as a pressure sensor and a temperature sensor, connected by cables to the microprocessor control unit, configured to continuously monitor the change in the compressed air flow rate in range from 1 to 10,000 litres per minute according to signals from the sensors and transmitting information via CAN and RS-485 communication lines, wherein said flow meter can detect ice plugs, shutoff of end valves in train and brake line rupture.

EFFECT: high-quality, reliable and continuous measurement of air flow velocity and mass flow rate of compressed air in the train brake line pipeline.
